A K I + Partners is a Chicago-based studio for art and architecture founded in 2020 by Aki Z. Knežević. Practicing at the intersection of art, nature, and technology, the firm partners with prominent consultants and experts to create singular architectural and immersive art projects.
Relying on a solid foundation in technology and engineering, the firm’s approach merges the reality of the project’s context, program, and budget with a need for a deeper connection to nature and society. The common notion that art and architecture are either imitative or perniciously revolutionary is rejected in favor of an evolutionary philosophy that combines the best of traditional methods with new digital and algorithmic tools.
